UPDATE: THE DATE HAS CHANGED AGAIN, we’re back to the original date. SEE BELOW.
At long last.
Yesterday, thanks to the generous help of Carolyn Schultz, we FINALLY nailed down a location for the Feast! Carolyn, a dear friend who works 70+ hours a week in Locations for film and TV, still found time to embark on an exhaustive search to find us a park that is not only large enough and cheap enough, but also nicely accommodating to our…special needs.
So bookmark your calendars folks for the afternoon of Saturday, November 15th. We’ll be at Woodley Park, a sprawling, sunny location in Van Nuys where we’ll have plenty of room for everyone to eat, drink, run, play, laugh, skip, sing, dance, rejoice…and raise money for a good cause (naturally). Don’t worry, you’ll all get invitations shortly.
In other news, we’re trying to begin the long, grueling process of becoming an official NPO (Non-Profit Organization). Another generous friend who’s joined the team, Patricia Witt, has volunteered herself for this task and is leading the way in guiding us toward making our dream a reality. We couldn’t be more pleased with the responses we’ve received so far from people wanting to help out and join the cause. And of course,if you’re reading this and you’d like to join the cause, we welcome you ALL!
That is the main purpose in founding ‘Who Will? We Will!’ — to show everyone that it is within their ability to make change. And it’s working. Slowly picking up steam. Like a virus (a good kind), the more it spreads…the more it spreads. I’ll leave you with that while I work on a better analogy. Pics of Woodley Park below. Stay tuned…
